BREAKING: Chaos In Sri Lanka As Thousands Of Protesters Set PM’s House On FIRE After STORMING Presidential Palace


Chaos has reportedly broken out in Sri Lanka as thousands of angry protesters took to the streets and set the Prime Minster’s house on fire, moments after storming the President’s palace.

According to local media reports, the incident was reported to have taken place in the country’s capital city of Columbo where citizens united in a drive to force the President to resign after the economic crisis had come to a standstill in the country.

Protesters were first seen storming the President’s residence and then setting the country’s prime minister’s home on fire. Their motive was to force the president to resign and that’s exactly what they managed to achieve at the end of the turmoil seen today.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister vowed to resign once the country’s new government was formed.

Horrifying images saw the capital in flames as an angry mob of demonstrators was witnessed chasing the country’s president.

The protests in the country have been escalating to new highs since the month of March of this year but today was definitely a peak as the situation went from bad to worse in a matter of seconds.

Police were unable to control the situation and were witnessed firing out balls of tear gas to make the crowds disperse, yet they still failed to country the massive number of protests who greatly numbered the security forces by miles.

There were plenty of reports on how citizens of Sri Lanka were not happy with the current government’s policies with plenty of anger getting directed toward President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Other reports spoke about how the current is on the verge of a total collapse as it faces a mega shortage of basic necessities like fuel, medicine, and food supplies since there is a severe lack of foreign currency in the country.
