Five people were shot at a Wisconsin cemetery after gunfire erupted during a funeral.
According to the reports, an unidentified gunman opened fire at Graceland Cemetery in Racine and shot five family members of Da’Shontay L. King Sr on Thursday afternoon.
The victims were shot while holding a funeral for the 37-year-old father of four who was shot dead by the police on March 20.
As TMJ 4 reported, all five people who were shot during the funeral were close relatives of the deceased father. While their condition remains unknown, they are currently receiving medical treatment at Ascension All Saints Hospital.
For safety reasons, the hospital has since been placed on lockdown.
As of this writing, the gunman remains on the loose and the situation remains active. The police have since launched a massive manhunt to find and arrest the shooter.
According to the reports, Racine Police is working with Racine Fire Department and Racine County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation and manhunt.
Daily Beast has since identified one of the victims as Kendra Gamble who allegedly remains in a critical but stable condition.
“She was shot at the gravesite,” the woman’s niece, Cortaisha Thompson, said. “We just left the hospital. She was sent on Flight For Life to Milwaukee now, they just took her there.”
Another woman spoke out to Madison.com and insisted that her daughter was shot in the incident at the cemetery.
Meanwhile, furious family members demand answers as they remain baffled by the fact that someone started shooting at them during a funeral.
“I F****** HATE ALL YALL WHY WE COULDNT BURY HIM IN PEACE,” Natasha Mullen wrote on Facebook.
Meanwhile, the mother of King’s children added: “YALL REALLY DID THIS?!?! OUR KIDS ARE GOING TO BE TRAUMATIZED!!! I HATE YALL!!! I GOTTA GO!!! MY BABY WAS SCREAMING BEYOND BELIEF.”
