Terrifying reports of an explosion being heard after a bus caught on fire are coming in from Potters Bar in London.
According to local media reports, many witnesses have gone about sharing shocking images that show a large amount of black smoke entering the skies while others confirmed they heard a mighty blast before the fire erupted.
The incident is said to have taken place at a garage where four large buses erupted into flames.
Six fire crews rushed to the scene to help extinguish the giant blaze which as spread to a nearby garage filled with other vehicles.
The Metroline Bus Garage is located in London and it is known to be the home to dozens of giant red-toned double-decker buses. Therefore, the news spread like wildfire on social media with many expressing their shock as other watched in a state of complete horror.
Local news channels were also quick at identifying the public about the incident and asked witnesses to stay away as they feared more explosions involving the giant electric buses.
Twitter users were also quick to add hashtags related to the incident to inform others as some of the most famous hybrid buses of the city were destroyed in the blaze.
The news could also affect local bus services as it would be difficult to navigate around the situation, confirmed authorities as investigations regarding the cause of the fire are currently believed to be on the rise.
Othe reports spoke in detail about how one local had raised the alarm to officials, just in time, before major destruction struck after he noticed so much smoke arising from the area.
On the other hand, one spokesperson for the fire brigade says he received at least 73 phone calls to help alert them about the incident.
