A 35-year-old advertising creative was recently stabbed to her death by a homeless criminal in Manhattan.
According to local media outlets, Christina Yuna Lee was reportedly found dead on Sunday in her bathtub that was soaked with blood.
The horrifying incident took place at her own Chinatown apartment that was located on the lower east side of New York.
Meanwhile, the police have identified the accused as 25-year-old Assamad Nash who is a homeless career criminal that was out on bail for another assault that he was accused of conducting.
But on Sunday, he was again arrested by the cops for carrying out the murder of the talented advertising creative.
Sources claim that Nash was followed into her residence by the murderer, right after she got off of her taxi. Moreover, he silently followed her to the building’s third floor.
On the other hand, the police claim that the suspect was still present in Lee’s apartment when they arrived, hiding underneath her bed. He was covered in blood.
Investigations into the criminal’s past history revealed how he had been booked for three different cases in the past, which included one gruesome incident where he had been involved in an alleged attack on a subway straphanger.
But in all of these cases, his offenses were not declared serious enough to hold him in custody.
At the moment, authorities have failed to comment on whether or not the victim knew about her attacker or not.
The victim’s landlord has blamed the District Attorney’s policies for the death of Lee, adding how the accused should not have been roaming around so freely on bail, given his past criminal record.
