The period of honeymoon is supposed to be the calmest and most relaxing beginning to any married couple’s relationship but this next story about a newlywed couple is bound to leave you in awe.
Think along the lines of serving as real-life heroes when all else fails! Yes, a couple was reportedly left with no choice but to serve as true heroes for dozens of others.
The couple acted like stuntmen from a leading Hollywood film as they prepared to save 20 babies after their daycare center caught on fire.
38-year-old olds David and Doran who both hail from Bristol claim they were on a park tour when the ordeal struck them in Barcelona in Spain. Traveling to a stunning country like this was the couple’s goal of a romantic getaway but destiny had other plans in store for them.
The huge fire engulfed the daycare that was known to be sheltering both babies and those of a slightly higher age group than this.
Doran adds that they were walking together peacefully when all of sudden, she noticed the nursery was on fire and all that was visible were these huge flames.
This was a case of trouble in paradise and both of them knew immediately they had to act now as it was a do-or-die situation.
Dropping their travel backpacks down immediately, the couple started to rush as fast as they could. There were scenes of panic and chaos all around as sounds of people crying filled the air.
After entering, they noticed that the place where the kids were located, the playroom, was yet to be on fire. Hence, the rescue mission was on to evacuate them to safety.
The couple joined hands with locals to do the task of picking up kids inside cribs and shifting them outside. Moreover, the entire process took about ten minutes in total. And they managed to do it with such finesse and dedication.
Today, they’re hailed heroes by families who can’t thank them enough for being so selfless in a foreign nation.
