We bet you may have done some pretty ridiculous things when you were young and in school but nothing could compare to this next story about a kindergartner in Michigan.
According to local media reports, the young child left the school and the state in a state of complete shock when he decided to bring Tequila to school and share the fun with his classmates too.
One mother reportedly claimed how her daughter kept claiming how ‘woozy’ she felt after having the sips of the beverage. But little did she know that it contained alcohol!
Michigan’s school officials mentioned how immediately disciplinary measures had been taken on an emergency basis and that meant reporting to the Poison Control who shortly made its way over.
Sources confirmed the young student brought the premixed drink containing alcohol on campus and felt the need to share it with others.
One parent whose child was involved in drinking the boozy drink was identified as Alexis Smith. The administration at Livonia’s Grand River Academy contacted the mom to let her in on her daughter’s status after the bizarre and alarming incident. Moreover, the mother confirmed during a viral interview with NBC’s affiliate media partner WDIV-TV how the school had contacted her to inform her what had been going on and how her child was involved in the act.
“I was contacted by the school during the early hours of Thursday morning. And they told me on the call how my daughter was a part of the four people who had consumed the alcoholic drink that was brought in by her classmates. My first thought was whether or not my baby was ok”- the mom revealed.
The teacher confirmed how her daughter was right there and she appeared ok but she was shocked to learn that the school couldn’t tell her details about how much her child had consumed.
Another parent says her daughter felt so dizzy and kept complaining after several sips. And that’s when she informed her teacher that she had drunk liquor that was labeled as ‘adult lemonade’ brought in by her friend, which alerted the teacher immediately, although she did at first assume it was a joke.
The incident has been addressed by the school community recently via a letter sent out to the principal. And therefore, adequate disciplinary measures would be taken in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
As investigations into the case continue, many parents are still trying to wrap their hands around what is going on in schools and how the teachers should be keeping a strict check on what young kids are eating and drinking these days to avoid such incidents in the future.
