A teenage hockey player from Minnesota reportedly passed away on Christmas day after suffering from a series of strokes.
The entire community of hockey was plunged into a period of darkness when the horrifying news had recently broken out. Many couldn’t even believe what was going on and had a hard time accepting the reality.
The bright and brilliant high school student was reportedly suffering from a rare medical disorder and that’s what led to him having multiple strokes, sources explained.
His family is still in shock as they try to pass through this difficult and awful period of mourning that they certainly never saw coming their way.
The player was identified as 16-year-old Cormick Scanlan who died on Sunday at the St. Paul Hospital which is reportedly where he had landed after being rushed by paramedics in the area.
The St. Paul’s Hockey Association delivered the horrifying and tragic news via a public message that had been sent out to others, notifying the player’s death. And that’s when condolence and tributes began pouring in from the masses.
It has been revealed by the authorities that he suffered from a series of strokes and hence was left with no choice but to undergo an emergency surgical procedure to help bring him back some sort of normalcy. But that did not work out well in his favor and he died, three weeks after getting admitted.
The teen Hockey Association’s president mentioned how he had died in a peaceful manner, surrounded by all his friends and loved ones by his side.
It was December 6 that he had been diagnosed with the fatal condition that led to blockage of his cerebrovascular artery and which is a major artery of the brain that can be fatal if damaged.
