According to court papers, a brawl broke out at Disney World between a pair of drunken, naked sisters, culminating in the duo tussling in the bushes after one slipped on the other’s vomit.
The late October incident arrest report reads like the plot of a “Jersey Shore” episode: Two sisters from New Jersey get into a drunken, naked fight. It is the latest in a series of headline-grabbing dustups at the Orlando, Florida, theme park.
The doomed evening started out with the sisters, who were tourists from New Jersey, grabbing dinner at Disney Springs at a steakhouse and then hitting an Irish pub for drinks, according to details recently revealed in Florida circuit court papers.
The sisters, ages 29 and 31, were vacationing with their family in Orlando. When they were ready to go back to their hotel off the resort property, their phone died and a Disney security guard helped them call an Uber. The Uber driver refused to take them, saying they were too drunk, so the security guard called a taxi.
As they wait for the taxi, the pair began arguing. The older sister called the younger sister a “bad mom” and slapped her. In return, the younger sister allegedly threatened to punch her.
At around 12:40 am, the Orlando County Sheriff’s Office got a dispatch about a fight happening at Disney Springs. The younger sister was screaming and crying when they arrived near Cirque du Soleil. She wore only her underwear and sandals.
The sheriff’s report said that the deputies assisted the woman with putting on a blue jean jacket since she was not wearing any clothing. The security manager said that both females were screaming at each other adding that one female was sitting on a bench while the second female was standing over her.
The sheriff’s report said: “After attempting to calm the situation, (the security manager) said one female slapped the other in the face. At that point, both females began punching, slapping, and pulling each other’s hair.”
The security manager pulled the two drunk guests apart and once separated, both sisters ran at each other, slipped in the younger sister’s vomit, then fell into the bushes while still fighting.
“(The security manager) stated (the younger sister) ran a few feet away and took off her dress, exposing her breasts.point 234 |
Shortly after, they began to punch each other again.point 44 | (The security manager) and (another cast member who witnessed the fight) were able to separate the two again until the off-duty deputies arrived on scene,” the sheriff’s report added.point 203 | 1
Eventually, the pair were separated and arrested. Disney didn’t have video surveillance of the brawl, adding that when police questioned the younger sister, all she wanted to talk about was how she “didn’t like her sister’s boyfriend.”
The officers arrested the drunk guests for domestic violence, battery, and disorderly intoxication, which are misdemeanor crimes. Neither woman sustained injuries.
The sheriff’s report noted: “They were very intoxicated. And endangered the safety of other guests and Cast Members at Disney Springs by physically fighting in a public area.”
According to Orange Circuit Court records, in November, the state attorney’s office declined to pursue criminal charges. Each of the sisters also requested the other to not be prosecuted. And since they aren’t facing criminal charges, the guests will remain unnamed.
The resort comprises four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom), two water parks (Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon), 31 themed resort hotels, nine non-Disney hotels, several golf courses, a camping resort, and other entertainment venues, including the outdoor shopping center Disney Springs.
