A tragic incident in Iran left the world in a state of absolute shock and utter disbelief when a young woman was killed for refusing to wear her headscarf.
According to local media outlets, a massive protest has taken place in the nation when a woman who was arrested by the religious moral police was killed in their custody. She refused to wear her headscarf and hence was brutally assaulted to an extent that left her dead.
Now, activists are raising their voices in support of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini who died in police custody in the capital city of Tehran yesterday.
The widespread clashes have left at least eight people dead and continue to wreak havoc in the city, sources revealed.
Now, American President Joe Biden is raising his voice on the matter that he feels is a serious concern for the world.
He not only condemned the behavior but was also seen expressing solidarity with all those brave women who are forced to endure such inhumane behavior on a daily basis.
On the other hand, Iran’s head of state has reflected his sheer criticism and fury over America’s response regarding the incident taking place in the country.
Speaking at the UN General Assembly today, the American President was seen providing firm backing to several activists that demanded action over her death. They have really put out great anger because they feel young women are being denied their freedoms and economic hardships.
“Today we are standing closely near the brave citizens and the brave women of Iran. They are right now putting forward their best foot and securing basic rights”- he explained.
