An 88-year-old woman was reportedly found dead at her residence after a giant fire ripped through her property.
Now, reports have gone on to reveal how two teenage boys have been charged for her tragic killing after her body was found inside her residence.
The suspects were identified as 18-year-old Kai Cooper and another 15-year-old boy who will now appear in front of Thames Magistrates’ Court in custody, right after the death of 88-year-old Josephine Smith.
Authorities have revealed how the police were called in as reports regarding a fire at the residential address in East London began to pour in on the 28th of October.
The woman was then pronounced dead at the horrifying scene of the blaze.
Both boys have been revealed to be residents of Leatherhead in Surrey and Southend in Essex. The accused have been slapped with charges relating to manslaughter as well as arson, including reckless behavior that took away the life of an innocent elderly citizen.
The teenage criminals were also charged for carrying out assault against another individual where they reportedly carried out a beating on a citizen, days before indulging in this horrifying crime.
Authorities are currently investigating the bizarre incident that has left in the area saddened and shocked beyond belief as this was clearly not something that anyone saw coming.
In the same way, authorities are remaining silent as investigators continue to investigate the case that has left the woman’s loved ones grieving.
It is still not determined whether or not the woman happened to be living alone during the time of the incident as no other casualties were reported from the crime scene by the police.
Whether or not this was a planned attack is also a question on many people’s minds as the investigations continue.
