Tragic reports are speaking about a young child who is finally breaking his silence after being thrown off the balcony at the Mall of America.
The 8-year-old child details more on his haunting experience that has left him scarred and traumatized for life. But with his mother by his side, he’s finally having the courage to speak on the incident that has baffled the world.
8-year-old Landen Hoffman suffered head trauma and a few broken bones when he was thrown from a mighty 40 feet off a balcony.
This was at a shopping mall in Minnesota in April of 2019. During that time, he opted to remain silent on the matter as it was just too much for him to bear. But now, he’s sitting down for an exclusive interview with his mother for ABC News to discuss the matter. And it just brought so many details on the baffling incident to life.
It was nothing less than a terrifying day for him. He really had a miraculous recovery. Landen says that so many people have a hard time believing that he actually survived the massive fall.
“They say it’s impossible for anyone to survive but I did, and I was blessed to have my mother by my side”- he mentioned.
Last week, a confidential lawsuit was settled by the Mall of America. They and the family vowed to toughen their trespassing policies.
During that time, a suspect named Emmanuel Aranda had pleaded guilty to the attempted first-degree murder case. He was sentenced to 19 years in prison for this attack on a young individual who has now become 8.
Aranda explained to the cops that his vicious attack was an act of revenge for being rejected by a female. But making a young child suffer through it was beyond a heinous crime, sources explained.
