A teenage boy who was stabbed to death at a house party involving two hundred people has been pictured.
16-year-old Mikey Roynon was an aspiring drill rapper from Bristol, UK, who was fatally stabbed by another teenager while attending a birthday party in Weston, Bath.
While the motive for the brutal killing remains unclear, the police arrested nine boys and two girls on suspicion of murder shortly after the Saturday night incident.
The authorities now confirmed that eight of the teenagers have already been released. Three boys aged 15 and 16 currently remain in custody.
“Mikey’s family have been informed of these developments and our thoughts continue to be with them as they come to terms with their loss,” Detective Inspector Mark Newbury said.
“Specialist family liaison officers supported them through the formal identification process which is something no family should ever have to experience.
“The investigation into Mikey’s murder continues at pace with a team of officers and staff working tirelessly to piece together what happened. A cordon remains in place at the scene, and we continue to appeal for anyone who has images, footage or information which could help our inquiry to get in touch.”
Meanwhile, Siggz Of The Dump boss Craig Sawyer paid the young part-time worker a tribute and remembered him as a “good lad with a good heart.”
“He was a great lad with a great heart. He was an amazing lad and all my customers loved him,” the owner of the waste disposal business expressed.
“He used to ring me before school and after school to work, he was a hard worker. All my customers loved him and will miss his smile and politeness.
“He was due to start full time from today, as he’s just done his GCSEs, which he was looking forward to.”
Paying tribute to the young man were also Mikey’s family members and loved ones.
“This world is so, so cruel and this was never ever meant to happen. Rest easy my boy,” one said.
“He was so loved my so many. Absolutely heartbreaking,” another expressed.
“My house won’t be the same without him, always cracking jokes making me laugh,” a third added.
Our thoughts remain with Mikey’s family and friends during this challenging time.
