A teenage boy from Indiana has reportedly been sentenced to 100 years in prison for suffocating his own siblings to death.
According to local media outlets, the accused was identified as Nickalas Kedrowitz who killed his younger brother, Nathaniel Ritz, and younger sister, Desiree McCartney.
After smothering the two young children in separate acts, the teen accused of the crime tried to provide a justification for his behavior by mentioning how he indulged in the horror because he wished to free the kids from hell and satan.
The accused was 13 years old when he suffocated his half-sister named Desiree and baby stepbrother named Nathaniel. The latter crime was conducted two months later as confirmed by local media reports.
At that time, little Desiree was only two years old while young Nathaniel passed away a few days away from his first birthday.
Police sources have gone on to mention how the teenage suspect showed very bizarre behavior and had an equally bad temper. He even spoke to the police about how he felt that he had done absolutely nothing wrong as he tried to break his siblings free from hell.
The County Prosecutor from Ripley stated that he was more than pleased to see how the judge for the teen’s case had issued two consecutive sentences that were 50 years each in duration. However, he was only tried when he was an adult and that means he will now be spending 100 years in jail.
The officer went on to speak to reporters about how this incident wasn’t something that took place in a minute or day’s time. The torture lasted for months and for that reason, he felt that the punishment was more than justified.
