Boxing superstar from South Africa, Simiso Buthelezi has tragically passed away at the age of 24.
According to local media reports, the horrifying and tragic news comes just two days after the celeb was filmed during a match where he appeared so disoriented and was literally swinging in thin air.
The incident is believed to have taken place during the later hours of Sunday night.
It is believed the superstar was receiving treatment at a nearby local hospital but little did anyone know that this would be the end of his career and life.
The boxer is believed to have taken part in the WBF African lightweight championship title that was held against Siphesihle Mntungwa. The fight had been waived off by the referee just during the final seconds of the match’s final round.
Buthelezi appeared to be in the driving seat and seemed like he was going to win as he cruised his way towards a victory his opponent seemed to be in deep trouble when he was pictured on the ropes in the corner, giving rise to a blistering form of competition.
While the South African tried his best to try and fight bravely, after he tried to regain back his momentum and rise to his feet, everything suddenly took a turn for the worst. All of a sudden, his focus shifted far away from his opponent and he started to make a move towards the ring’s corner.
He then was caught throwing punches into open space where no one was present and that was a clear sign of alarm to many that something was not right.
Even his opponent was shocked and that forced the referee to sound the alarm and end the match while calling for medical help and he was rushed to the hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
Sadly, he died on Tuesday night, leaving the boxing world in a state of shock and absolute grief.
