Ukraine’s President Zelensky has made his first tour of the US ever since the Russian invasion and there seems to be a lot of criticism surrounding his appearance.
Tucker Carlson was a part of the long list of critics who berated the Ukrainian Head of State for showing up to the US in attire that failed to signal him as the leader of the nation.
The Ukrainian President showed up to the country’s capital city in combat gear including a green-colored camouflage shirt, similar-colored pants, and combat boots.
It was definitely a very unique choice of wardrobe considering the fact that he was in the US and was visiting President Biden who happened to be looking sharp and neat in his blue-colored suit.
But that was not good enough for Tucker Carlson, a leading news anchor in the US, who slammed the Ukrainian President for dressing so casually at the White House, despite knowing what he was there for.
Carlson berated the President and referred to him to the likes of a manager of a strip club who showed up to the next country to demand money during his visit.
He was also a part of the Republicans who bashed the current Biden administration for going as far as giving the leader billions when the country’s own economy was in a poor state that was close to crumbling.
After his visit with the US President, Zelensky was seen delivering a speech to the country’s Congress. He urged for another round of funding for defensive weapons as he claims the threat from Russian invaders is still very much strong and in this desperate time, it’s the US that can help defend Ukraine from its enemy.
