Shocking new bodycam footage was recently released by authorities that featured Marshawn Lynch being dragged out of his vehicle after he failed to listen to cops during his arrest.
The former Seahawks running back made headlines when he was put behind bars for driving under the influence of alcohol. But now, the shocking new footage of the star has really opened up people’s eyes.
The video comes exactly two days after he was charged with a DUI by the Metro Police Department on Thursday in Las Vegas. The body cam footage shows exactly what happened when he was apprehended at a traffic stop.
In the video, the 36-year-old sportsman tries to communicate with officers via an open door that’s located on the driver’s side of his vehicle.
The cops can be seen requesting him to get out of the car but he simply ignores them. Lynch refused to comply on several occasions and that’s when the officers can be heard mentioning that they’ll be left with no choice but to force him out and that’s exactly what happens next.
“The is not on and the car is not going”- Lynch mentioned in a brutal tone while speaking to the officers. But to his statement, one of the officers claim, “Right now, if you don’t get out of the car, you are going to be charged with obstructing an investigation!”
The officer follows up this statement with another speaking about how he’s carrying out a criminal offense that could land him in jail as he’s not complying with their orders.
On that note, Lynch can be seen requesting a further explanation which isn’t entertained by the officers.
And that’s when the officers are seen roughly dragging him out of the car, which Lynch revealed didn’t belong to him. Instead, he said it was stolen, and by the looks of the missing wheel cap and disaster bump, it certainly looked like it.
An investigation into the incident is currently taking place as Lynch is currently in jail as cops reported to have found him asleep behind the wheel, calling his vehicle out for being in an ‘unbelievingly poor condition’.
