Bobbie Jean Carter, the sister of Aaron and Nick Carter, has died at the age of 41.
The heartbreaking news of her passing was confirmed by her mother, Jane Carter.
In a statement to TMZ, the devastated mother said: “I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean; and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time.”
The grieving mother continued: “When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement; but until then I would request to be left to grieve in private.
“However deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater.
“So, I would ask the sympathetic to say a prayer for my precious eight-year-old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also left without her mother.”
Details surrounding Jane’s passing are currently unknown but the news outlet reported that she died on December 23 in Florida.
Bobbie Jean’s passing came only 13 months after her younger brother, Aaron Carter, died on November 5 last year at the age of 34.
In 2012, Leslie Carter passed away at the age of 25 due to a toxic combination of medications.
Even though Bobbie Jean tried to maintain a more private life compared to her brothers, she still received attention in the early 2000s.
In 2006, she appeared on the family’s reality show House of Carters which showed fans how they live together under one roof.
The show ran for one season and since then, Bobbie Jean tried to maintain a more private life.
