A woman is sparking a controversy of a whole new kind on social media.
Say hello to a search that comprises finding a black Santa doll, ornaments, and pajamas. And as bizarre as it may sound, this mama says that she cannot be the only one out there with the fetish.
Growing up, the mom claims that it was always a notion that everything related to Christmas had to be white. And as a woman of color, she never really understood that. For her, the world is beautiful because it’s diverse and she wouldn’t want it any other way.
Today, she’s on the search for things that scream inclusivity from miles away. And she might be starting off a new controversy as many fail to agree.
But many people are bashing the mother for trying to create a new representation of Christmas that they felt never existed. They feel making people aware of a Santa that has never existed is definitely not the right way to go about the situation.
The mother does not seem to be fazed by this behavior. She claims life is about making people understand about how you feel and at the moment, she’s not feeling too great about not having a say.
The mother also shed light on how things are definitely changing for the better. She and a few other black families were blessed with the chance to meet a black Santa. They wouldn’t have thought of something like this in a million years.
The Santa was seen at a gallery in Decatur in Georgia and boy, it really did bring a smile to so many faces across the board.
Families who did end up attending the gathering claim that it’s a breath of fresh air to see change. And they really do hope it stays for years to come.
