Beloved singer and songwriter Bobby Caldwell has passed away at the age of 71.
Sources from local media outlets confirmed how the leading performer had been battling with an illness for so many years, and that came to an end yesterday when he passed away.
The legendary artist was suffering from the adverse effects of fluoroquinolone antibiotics for the past six years. And the effects have been so devastating on him, sources have confirmed.
The death of the hitmaker had been confirmed after his wife broke the most devastating news last night, leaving the world stunned with grief.
The term she had used to describe his illness was floxed which is the name given to describe a type of body suffering mitochondrial damage and oxidative stress due to FQ use.
Caldwell died in his sleep on Tuesday night while he was at his residence in New Jersey. His rep confirmed the announcement recently.
“Bobby passed away here at home and I held him tight in my arms as he left us. For this, I’ll be forever heartbroken”- his wife concluded.
She similarly thanked all the fans and followers for the best wishes and prayers over the years. In the same way, she shared more memories that the duo had experienced over the years. And that really broke a lot of people’s hearts into more pieces.
Leading media outlet TMZ claims the singer was not able to walk for nearly five years as he tried to overcome the painful bouts linked to neuropathy. In the same way, he had to deal with a ruptured tendon in his ankle and that just made the whole process of healing so difficult for him, the report went on to add.
