An elderly woman has reportedly passed away after getting trapped in her home due to a blizzard.
Sources have confirmed that the incident took place after massive and unexpected snowfall arose in the San Bernardino County of California, leaving so many people stunned.
The victim was identified as 93-year-old Elinor Avenatti whose concerned neighbor was the first to turn to the police about her harrowing finding.
She just could not believe that her neighbor was dead, and left alone during this distressing time of extreme weather change. She happened to be near her fireplace when the neighbor popped in, lying lifeless in the most heartbreaking manner.
The truth is that nobody really expected that much snow to take place. It’s a grim reality and one that so many of us will be forced to deal with, she continued.
“We don’t know who exactly to blame. Is it the government’s fault or the city’s fault or both”- we just do not know what to say. I just wish they had allowed us to leave our homes earlier. This way, they could carry out welfare checks on citizens”- she continued.
“It was nothing else than a winter wonderland. There was snow all over the place. This was just so bizarre”- the woman went on to continue.
Others in the community mentioned how the poor weather conditions ended up causing a huge disturbance in the power lines. It was just so distressful for some as they could no longer communicate with loved ones.
