With speculations running high about Pope Francis stepping down, new reports are making some bold statements about what the religious leader wants unmarried couples to do.
The Vatican guide was recently caught issuing a stern warning to unmarried couples and how he wants them not to engage in any s*x before they get married.
According to local media reports, the Pope went about arguing how chastity is known to teach the true timing of everything and this is no exception.
“The method of true love will unfold with time. You must all learn to wait and have patience”- the Pope explained.
In the same way, he continued to mention how so many modern couples were falling apart when they chose to rush things instead of waiting for them to unfold at the right time.
He also said that today’s modern unions are steeped into having great sources of pressure related to s*x and that is a clear sign of their downfall.
The news comes as a part of the Vatican guide. This long document which comprises nearly 97 pages features a set of rules and regulations for married life, adding how holy matrimony is not only a gift but it’s a major task that couples need to understand.
As you can probably imagine, this move is not one that comes without any controversy. The Pope is being called out for being too harsh on one extreme but incredibly lenient towards others.
In particular, reference was made to his openness to issues about divorce and those matters that arise regarding same-sex couples.
“Within marriage, s*x is encouraged but without it, it’s not. Remember chastity serves as a teacher and reminder to couples that it’s an ally of love and not something that is viewed as a negation”- the Pope added.
