A heartbreaking incident has left many people in tears recently when it was revealed how a mother murdered her bed-ridden daughter with Down Syndrome in Texas.
The mother named Lauren Kay Dean has pleaded guilty to murder and received a life sentence alongside 20 years for child endangerment, sources revealed.
Meanwhile, local media outlets spoke about how a complaint had been filed against Dean on January 30 in 2020 where the mother of three was reported for leaving her three children alone at home.
The reason was simple, she wished to go out clubbing and for her, that was way more important than her little ones, sources revealed.
Hence, when the cops were seen arriving at the mother’s home as a part of the welfare check, they were horrified to learn what had happened. She was not there and her kids were alone.
The exact location of the incident was described to be Bay City in Texas. Moreover, investigations into the case revealed how the mother did comply with the cops and answered their questions. She mentioned that she had to see a few friends at a nearby club called Shades.
This is why she chose to leave the little ones behind and make a quick stop. But that was far from the truth. She wanted to indulge in a night full of drinking and partying and that is what cost her the life of her daughter.
When the cops arrived inside the apartment with the mother, they found her seven-year-old daughter named Jordyn dead in her bed.
She was extremely disabled and needed the attention of her parents but what she got in return was far from that.
Little Jordyn lived a very troublesome life where her feeding was done through a tube and she couldn’t move. She was bedridden and in the end, her mom’s evil actions killed her.
Dean has been convicted of murder and negligence in regard to her daughter’s death, local media outlets confirmed.
