The cops in Birmingham have reportedly found the dead remains of a young child who happened to be buried inside the back garden of a home.
Sources from local media outlets claim the child was reported as missing and that’s why they had embarked on a week-long police search.
The officers located in the West Midlands were seen searching through a property located on Clarence Road in Handsworth when the remains were discovered by the cops.
At the same time, the force confirmed through a statement that was published on Sunday that the remains did in fact belong to a child. Hence, a post-mortem would be carried out to establish the real cause of death. But at the same time, no more details were made public about the child’s age or gender or anything else.
One spokesperson mentioned how officials were conducting a search of the garden of the property when they found something suspicious. And they were human remains. The body was highlighted to belong to a child and the real cause of death can only be confirmed when the forensic results come out.
In relation to the case, a man and a woman between the age of 40 and 41 were arrested on suspicion of allowing the death of a child to ensue. At the same time, they were charged with the crime of willful neglect.
For now, the authorities are not claiming too much as they feel investigations need to be conducted further to evaluate what exactly went on that day, which led to a child’s death.
The present inhabitants of his property are aware of the search taking place but they are not believed to be linked in any way, shape, or form to this search.
