A mother accused of going out to play poker while abandoning her little son inside a scorching hot vehicle was granted just one year in jail.

Horrifying reports revealed how the 34-year-old accused left her baby in a blisteringly hot vehicle for five hours to die.

After the time duration had elapsed, 14-month-old Easton was immediately rushed to the hospital in the most critical condition.

The mother who hailed from Melbourne was labeled pathetic by the judge for her questionable actions which could have resulted in her beautiful baby’s death. But despite all of that, she was given an awfully short jail sentence.

On Thursday, the judge announced the shocking decision and slammed her for charges relating to criminal negligence.

The victim was identified as young Easton who was deemed to be a very happy, healthy, and smiling baby. And that’s right before his mother crippled him forever.

After staying in the scorching heat for so long, the little baby sustained major damage to his brain as his tiny body baked in the heat for hours.

But when the mother returned from a night of gambling and partying at a local pub, she was baffled and immediately rushed her child to the hospital.

The court also heard about how the temperatures present outside managed to reach 37.5 degrees centigrade at Point Cook which is present in Melbourne’s West.

Judge Felicity Hampel was in charge of the decision where she opted to convict the mother for her wrongdoing and then jailed her for a total of three years, outlining out one-year would be a bare minimum.

In the same way, the judge has also gone about justifying her decision by stating how the mother was not as intelligent as an ordinary person. Therefore, due to her impaired judgment, she was given a lenient decision.
