An infant was killed in a horror car crash after getting thrown out of a car window.
9-month-old baby girl Nylah suffered severe injuries in a traffic accident that took place in Goodyear, Arizona, on September 17.
According to the reports, the girl was riding the car with her 30-year-old father, Larry, who is said to have failed to put the child in a car seat or restrain her with a seatbelt.
When their BMW crashed into a utility pole in a single-vehicle collision, Nylah was flung outside the car and died instantly. Her father suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital. His current condition remains unclear.
As the investigation into the incident continues, the police have confirmed that the driver was not impaired at the time of the crash.
After the accident, Nylah’s family launched a GoFundMe page to help the baby girl’s grieving mom with funeral expenses.
“Hello everyone, it is with a heavy heart today we ask for your help to raise money to help Cinthya our niece with funeral expenses for their sweet angel Nylah and to help with medical costs as Larry heals in hospital care,” they wrote.
“She is a stay at home Mom and cared for Nylah everyday, while Larry was the sole income source for their family. Please pray for the Lawal/Luna/Zamora family in these difficult moments. We thank you in advance, God bless!”
Meanwhile, tributes to the child have begun pouring in.
“My condolences and prayers go out to their families and everyone affected. That’s so so sad,” one local, Emily Luetke, said.
“Just absolutely devastating it’s so sad, and it sucks that it’s so close to home, too, and it’s scary. You always got to be very careful when you’re driving.”
Another well-wisher expressed: “So heartbreaking for the entire family, she was still a baby.”
Our thoughts remain with Nylah and Larry’s loved ones during this challenging time.
