A teenage girl has reportedly been freed of all charges, despite being drunk and knocking a 58-year-old man unconscious for bumping into her friend.
According to local media reports, the young drunk woman began the altercation after the middle age individual bumped into her friend on the streets. But she felt that was unacceptable behavior on his part and hence went about attacking him.
The incident caused the man to abruptly fall down onto the ground.
Cops have identified the teen as 19-year-old Kelsea O’Hara who attacked a man named Andrew Turner in East Yorkshire. Authorities claim the girl was upset that the man wouldn’t apologize, despite bumping into her friend. And that’s when she mustered up the strength to attack him forcefully, knocking him unconscious.
Shocking reports revealed how the man fell hard on the rough surface, hitting his head, and resulting in injuries. Moreover, he is believed to have died six days later.
But despite these tragic findings, the Hull Crown Court has cleared the teen from all the charges and instead, launched a murder investigation.
Later, the case took another bizarre twist when the pathologist and neuropathologist involved in the case confirmed that the teen was indeed not responsible for his death.
As of now, Andrew’s cause of death is yet to be revealed in the court, sources added.
The court’s documents say O’Hara did attack Andrew because he bumped into her friend and failed to apologize. And she did plead guilty to wounding him too. Morover, she was even spared an immediate prison sentence, the documents alleged.
Instead, she has been allotted a 6-month long curfew.
“O’ Hara slammed her bag onto the ground and went straight at him. She punched him so hard, that he became unconscious and fell down. He is reported to have slammed his head”- the court concluded.
