A baby boy was killed in a tragic accident during which he was run over by a car.
1-year-old Cooper from Queensland, Australia, died just weeks after celebrating his first birthday after a car ran over him on the driveway at a private property in Thabeban.
According to the reports, the baby boy suffered extreme brain injuries when he was crushed by the vehicle in the accident branded as blameless.
Following the incident, Cooper was taken to Bundaberg Hospital from where he was airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital.
Unfortunately, the bubbly little angel succumbed to his injuries on the following day.
A relative of the 1-year-old and his grieving parents has since launched a GoFundMe page to help the family financially during this painful time.
“On January 9th 2023, a blameless tragic accident which was the result of every parent’s worst nightmare came true, which has and will affect our entire family and anyone that had the pleasure of meeting him and seeing that cheeky little smile for the rest of our lives,” the page reads.
“Tragically, baby Cooper was taken from us way too soon. He died on Tuesday January the 10th, 2023 after sustaining severe brain injuries in a car accident. He was just 12 months old and had his whole life ahead of him.”
The heartbreaking fundraiser also explains how Cooper was surrounded by his parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunts during his final moments while strangers prayed for him from their homes.
“He fought so hard, and it’s a testament to how strong and resilient our little angel was. We are asking for any help you can provide for our family to cover the cost of funeral expenses and professional support for the parents and siblings who never should have had to say goodbye,” the statement adds.
Our thoughts are with Cooper’s family during this challenging time.
