Ariana Grande’s drummer has passed away at the age of just 47.
Aaron Spears was a celebrity drummer and Grammy nominee who worked for the likes of Usher, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and Ariana Grande throughout his long and successful career in the music industry.
Unfortunately, the man died at the age of just 47, his family announced on Monday, October 30.
In a touching tribute, Aaron’s grieving wife of 11 years, Jessica, gushed over her partner’s devotion to their son and his “love” and “warmth.”
“Aaron was not only an incredibly accomplished drummer, admired by many for his unparalleled talent and passion for music, but he was also a devoted father to our precious son, August,” Jessica expressed.
“His love guidance, and warmth were the pillars of our family, and his absence leaves a void that words cannot describe. We are blessed to have him in our lives, his legacy will live on through the beautiful rhythms he created and the love he shared with us.”
She added: “We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Please remember Aaron for the incredible person he was and the amazing music he brought into our world.”
After the sad news came out, Ariana spoke out and voiced her sympathy for the drummer’s family.
“My condolences to you all. I love you guys and I am so sorry. My heart is with you,” she said.
In another message, the Thank U, Next hitmaker penned:
“We were all so incredibly lucky to know Aaron. The absolute brightest light of a human being. Always the kindest, always smiling, I am so honored and thankful that our paths crossed.”
Ariana also thanked the drummer for his “utter brilliance” and for the kindness and laughs they shared.
