Anne Heche’s estate has been sued by the woman who lost nearly everything when the actress plowed into her home.
Back in August, actress Anne Heche plowed her Mini Cooper into a Mar Vista, California, residence while driving at 100 mph while under the influence of fentanyl and cocaine.
Days after the incident, Heche was pronounced brain dead, whereas Lynne Mishele was forced to move out of her wrecked Los Angeles home.
Now, Mishele has filed a lawsuit seeking at least $2 million in damages against Anne Heche’s estate. Currently, the late actress’s ex-boyfriend and her eldest son are both battling for control of the estate.
In her lawsuit, Mishele argues that the crash left her traumatized and that she fears leaving her home up to this day after she and her pets – two dogs and a tortoise – were nearly killed.
“Plaintiff has been unable to sleep and is battling acute anxiety and depression. She has also been unable to operate her home business because of her physical displacement and fragile mental health caused by Defendants’ irresponsible behavior,” her attorneys penned.
“She has received counseling, but remains traumatized by Defendants’ actions.”
As the suit explains, the crash not only had a massive impact on Mishele’s mental health but also left her without a home, a struggling business, and without most of her personal possessions which burned to a crisp after the house caught fire.
Furthermore, the victim was left without a stable home and lives in constant fear for her life and the lives of her beloved pets.
