Actress Anne Heche is reportedly fighting for her life after suffering severe burns.

The 53-year-old ‘Return to Paradise’ and ‘Six Days Seven Nights’ star remains in critical condition at an LA hospital after crashing her Mini Cooper into a garage.

According to the reports, the blue car exploded and caught fire after Heche plowed the vehicle into the garage of a residence in the neighborhood of Mar Vista.

The actress was reportedly left trapped in the burning vehicle and the firefighters had to drag her out of the wreck after arriving at the scene.

Following the crash, which presumably didn’t involve other traffic participants, Heche was rushed to the ICU where she was intubated.

Despite the extent of her burns and other injuries, the 53-year-old is expected to live.

The incident came just moments after Heche was spotted slamming her blue Mini into the garage of a Mar Vista apartment complex.

At the time of the first incident, photos showed the actress looking disheveled behind the wheel. Eagle-eyed viewers also spotted what appears to be a bottle with a red cap in the actress’s reach at the time of the first collision.

The contents of the bottle remain unknown.

While people at the scene allegedly attempted to approach and help the actress, Heche is said to have sped off and left the scene almost immediately.

Just moments later, the Fatal Desire star plowed her car into a hedge and the garage of a local residence.

“We really had a multifaceted incident here. We had a significant traffic collision, we had entrapment of a woman inside that, we had car that erupted into fire, and then we had a home that had significant fire that is red tagged. It’s at this point destroyed,” LAFD Capt. Erik Scott said.

Meanwhile, TMZ reported that it remains unclear whether Heche was driving under the influence because doctors were unable to perform the required tests due to the patient’s condition.
