Chaos took center stage on the streets of Birmingham recently where social workers were reportedly spat upon amid growing backlash over Arthur Hughes’ murder.
According to one children’s trust boss, social workers were spat upon and verbally abused by so many furious citizens as they felt social workers could have done so much to save the young 6-year-old who was beaten to death by his stepmom.
Arthur tragically passed away when his father and stepmother united to carry out the most devastating and shocking forms of torture against the young child. This included starving him, isolating him, and beating him against hard surfaces until he could take no more.
The young child’s body was covered in bruises which social workers failed to recognize, despite visiting the family residence, just one month before his death.
Arthur’s grandfather revealed how the boy had lost so much weight and was generally unhappy. But despite so many alarm bells ringing, the case was closed and Arthur was deemed to be happy and healthy. Moreover, social workers also failed to keep a track of the important notes they had made in terms of findings in the case.
Now, they are being abused as a result of how the young child passed away, as revealed by a renowned children’s foundation.
After the horrifying incident, Prime Minister Boris Johnson passed a new law, called Arthur’s law, where all child killers will be given a lifetime jail sentence and forced to die inside prison.
In addition to that, the prime minister has also announced an inquiry against all those social workers involved, adding how those that are responsible shall be brought to justice.
