The text message of a beloved Wisconsin newscaster who took her own life with a handgun only 90 minutes after buying it from a weapons store has been revealed.
Neena Pacholke shot herself after her fiancé Kyle Haase broke up with her only weeks before they were about to tie the knot.
Their split came after a two-year relationship filled with rumors of affairs, arguments, and heavy drinking.
Heartbroken friends of Neena also revealed that the news anchor told them about the moment she discovered unfamiliar panties when she came back to the $390,000 house she shared with Kyle, the Daily Mail reported.
The news outlet have obtained the full police report which describes the efforts of loved ones and police officers went to in the hours before Neena ended her life.
A concerned friend even called 911 for a welfare check but it was already too late as Neena already shot herself with the handgun.
According to the report, a friend had previously removed all weapons from the home fearing Neena might do something bad to herself due to her mental state.
Kyle and his children were on their way to Minnesota to see his mother. When Neena told him that she was ‘going to do something,’ he called the police asking them to make a welfare check on her home.
When police entered the home, they found Neena in a closet with a handgun laying next to her right hand.
Only minutes before the shooting, Neena sent a text message to Kyle.
“I love you Kyle. I always have and always will. Despite how much you ruined me, I always had hope. I’m so sorry to do this to you but I can’t handle any of this pain anymore,” she wrote.
Kyle called the police but by the time the officers found her, it was already too late.
