Johnny Depp’s defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard draws to a close and as he returned to the stand, he claimed that the Aquaman star treated her sister like a ‘punching bag’.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star’s claims came only days after Heard’s sister, Whitney Henriquez, claimed that she witnessed how Depp hit the actress.
But in his testimony, Depp denied the claims and instead said that he ‘grew to love’ Henriquez that he even allowed her to live in one of his apartments.
Describing Henriquez, Depp said: “She was a very sweet kid, she was wonderful,” adding that she “seemed to get the dirty end of the stick” by Heard, who treated her “both as a trusted sister and friend” or a “lackey or punching bag or dartboard.”
The Dark Shadows actor also claimed that he was witness to his ex-wife throwing wine at Henriquez’ face, saying: “She would have wine thrown in her face. Whitney was trying to please her sister. Trying to be up to snuff.”
“It just seemed like she got shot down … I’ve certainly seen Miss Heard grab Whitney, push her around,” Depp added.
The actor also said Heard told Henriquez to “get out” of their apartment in Los Angeles after the two got into an argument.
Depp said he had never seen any “full on physical blow outs” between the sisters but he witnessed “tones of verbal blow outs.”
He said that he had seen Heard “grab” Henriquez and “push her around.”
Depp also recalled the incident with ex-girlfriend Kate Moss where the supermodel fell down the stairs during their vacation in Jamaica.
Moss testified and said that throughout their relationship, Depp never “pushed me, kicked me or threw me down any stairs.”
Speaking about the incident, the actor said: “As Kate Moss testified, many many years ago and what exactly happened is what she said happened. I recall speaking with Miss Heard about that very incident because of the downpouring of rain because it was raining very heavily the day Kate slipped. I recalled the story to her.”
“Miss Heard took the story and turned it into a very ugly incident all in her mind. There was never a moment where I pushed Kate down any set of stairs yet she’s spewed this three times before,” Depp added.
