Terrifying and tragic reports have revealed the death of a loving mother of five who passed away after becoming super ill from a ‘vegan’ sandwich.
Accroding to local media outlets, the mother had a difficult time when it came down to her dietary choices. She was allergic and intolerant to several things, and that’s why she made sure to double-check what she was eating and from where.
But one vegan sandwich ended up costing her life, leaving her family shattered forever.
Celia Marsh fell terribly ill after she ate the super veg rainbow flatbread at a Pret A Manger.
While the mom thought it was dairy free, it actually contained trace amounts of milk protein over it. And that is what sparked a hugely fatal reaction in her body, leaving her allergies so severe and life-threatening.
The mother was rushed to a nearby hospital as she started to breathe heavily. Despite paramedics rushing her to the nearest medical facility on time, she died upon arrival.
Her husband has now reportedly launched a new lawsuit to figure out what really happened as the family wants closure, despite knowing the fact that their loved one can never return again.
Meanwhile, today, a pre-inquest hearing informed about a lack of investigation taking place and that was a huge concern to so many people.
After her death, medical reports showed how the food did in fact contain dairy that she just couldn’t tolerate.
Moreover, it was also revealed how the testing on the sandwich proved to be inadequate for human consumption and that just made the entire ordeal so heartbreaking.
Celia suffered from the most fatal form of an anaphylactic attack that came from the super-veg rainbow sandwich, Moreover, being deceived into thinking that it was dairy free was another major concern of her husband who says their one mistake cost the family everything.
