Actor Alec Baldwin has won the crucial battle in the Rust movie case.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to mention how things are working out well and in favor of the celebrated Hollywood star after he won a battle that would allow him to have his gun enhancement charges dropped.
The news meant that the Santa Fe prosecutors have now opted to drop the key gun enhancement charge against the celeb from Hollywood.
This was related to the death of famed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, mentioned the local media outlets today. And as you can imagine, it’s a major win for the actor who vowed to fight back against the charges, since the day they were brought against his name.
Meanwhile, the striking decision comes at a time when Alec Baldwin’s own prosecutors hailing from New Mexico had committed a huge elementary-based legal error, right after he was charged under a statute that never seemed to exist during the start of the shooting period.
The actor has been charged with two counts linked to involuntary manslaughter as mentioned by the District Attorney’s Office that’s present in Santa Fe, over the death of the cinematographer.
The cinematographer died after the actor reportedly fired a loaded prop gun that he had no clue featured live rounds. Therefore, he and the armorer of the movie were also charged in relation to the awful killing that left one team member on set dead while the other was injured.
