A newborn baby was reportedly found in the most heartbreaking circumstances in Alaska.
The young child was located inside a cardboard box in Alaska by a woman who happened to lay her eyes on the child while walking on the streets.
Roxy Lane says she found the child in the afternoon’s most freezing temperatures right outside a row of mailboxes that was located near her house in Fairbanks.
“The temperatures were single digits and here there was this child lying in the cold at 2 pm,” she revealed.
The child was swaddled in blankets and cooing when she stumbled upon him, alongside a note that was reportedly written down by his mother. She requested someone to assist him as she could no longer care for him.
“Please help me!”- the note began. “My parents and grandparents do not have food or money to raise me. Please take me and help me find a loving family,” the tragic note went on to mention.
It was New Year’s Eve and Roxy says she just didn’t have the heart to leave the child alone and that’s when she decided to pick him up.
The note also revealed how the baby was named Teshawn and that’s when Roxy opted to call up paramedics who rescued the child and dropped him off for care at a nearby hospital.
At the moment, the child is in good health and is being looked after by medical experts.
The bizarre case has alerted state police who are currently carrying out an investigation into the matter. Moreover, a spokesperson for the Police Department has also gone on to reveal how they are still trying to identify the child’s mother and the reason behind this behavior of hers.
