An influencer from Brazil is making heads turn after she was reportedly stopped from boarding her flight.
And now, she’s being rewarded a considerable sum from the respective airlines after filing a lawsuit demanding they pay for her psychotherapy-related expenses.
The top-heavy influencer who hails from Brazil mentioned how she was stopped from boarding her flight because of her weight. She felt so discriminated against as this was not right for obvious reasons.
“Qatar Airways told me that I was just too big for my seat. Is that even normal? Who does that?”- she began to rant on her account online.
But the mistreatment from the leading Middle Eastern airline did not go down well in her account. She felt it was so wrong for obvious reasons and after she went public, she opted to take on a legal case.
With a fan following of nearly 167,000 people, you can only imagine that it was not long before the news went viral and the case was dealt with seriously.
“They are denying my right to travel because I am too fat for them! How is that even fair? This does not happen in any other part of the world. They should be so ashamed of themselves!”- she continued.
And after the case was sent to the local court in the country, they were found guilty of discrimination. Hence, the airline must now pay a huge sum of money to her as compensation.
The air hostess was also slammed for mentioning that due to her increasing weight, she had zero rights to this plane ticket. And that again took a hard hit. Therefore, they’ve been asked to pay for psychotherapy damages that the passenger says she was forced to withstand due to the airline’s awful behavior.
Weekly sessions cost $100 a week so they’ll be covering that for a year! Yikes!
