One of Ukraine’s leading actresses has been killed in a tragic rocket attack by Russians.
The famous stage actress was identified as Oksana Shvets who reportedly passed away in her apartment in Kyiv.
Sources close to the star revealed how she was sleeping when the horrifying incident took place but never woke up again.
The death of the celeb was recently confirmed by the Young Theater, who happened to be the company with which the renowned star was associated.
The troupe had put up a tribute for the 67-year-old star, along with a loving picture of her in the same theater that once gain her immense fame and recognition.
In the same way, emotional tributes began to pour in from fans who adored her work, calling her a powerhouse of talent who always gave her best in all of her performances.
The Kyiv Post also confirmed the tragic news this morning, referring to her death as a huge loss and setback for the country, and also referred to the incident as a heinous crime of murder committed against her.
“Bright memory of the talented actress”- stated another leading tribute as the country mourned her sudden and unexpected passing away.
“There is simply no forgiveness of the enemy that has entered our land”- the post went on to continue.
The theater’s website shed light on the star’s life and how she joined the theater school in the year 1975 while her career flourished for several decades.
Her awards and achievements were also highlighted, which included ‘Merited Artist of Ukraine’ which was considered to be the highest award and honor bestowed in the country.
After the news broke, it was revealed how Russian forces continued to pound the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv as a mighty barrage of missiles had been launched.
