A woman was left horrified after being g*oped by a man on a bus because the authorities failed to cooperate with her on the matter.
The 25-year-old woman who chose to remain anonymous reveals how she managed to photograph the male suspect that abused her while she was using public transport to travel to her next destination.
Taking the complaint to a nearby police officer, she was horrified to see the reluctance and lack of cooperation from the side of the authorities. Instead of assisting her on the matter and providing her with the support, she required. he instead told her to stop behaving in such a childish manner and to move on.
The matter infuriated the victim who decided to lodge two complaints on the matter. One was linked to her abuse and the other had to do with the attitude of the police officer on duty in the vicinity.
But new reports surrounding the case have gone into detail to share how the victim’s case cannot be carried on forward and that’s because there is a lack of evidence of what went on. Hence, there’s a high probability that it will be shelved.
The forces handling the matter claim they only opened up the case after the 25-year-old victim had given her photographs of the man she says attacked her on the bus ride.
She was believed to be heading toward her local newspaper job but just couldn’t believe what she was forced to deal with.
When one journalist took a look at the case, they contacted the Derbyshire Police officers and issued a public appeal. Within a few days, Daniel Oakes, the man behind the attack was arrested. Today, he is behind bars after pleading guilty to the crime and will serve a jail time of 26 weeks.
