Famed Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore was recently accused of racism after a video on TikTok of the celeb enjoying the rainy season took the social media world by storm.

While the footage may have appeared innocent to some, there were certainly a group of others who felt the star was taking a swipe at the Black community amid the viral trend of frolicking taking center stage recently.

Barrymore can be seen laughing walking in the rain and encouraging so many other people to come out and enjoy the beautiful weather. But one TikTok user failed to see eye to eye with the celeb and started to bash her for ‘dismissing’ black creators.

The TikTok user says Barrymore was trying to steal the limelight that was in the hands of so many Blacks. She says the trend began in the month of May of this year and it featured all black men running around in all directions across various fields.

“She just can’t see black men enjoying their fame. She has to step in and copy the frolicking trend as if she was the one who started it. But that’s not true and women like her need to be called out for the same reason!”- the TikToker continued.

The furious TikToker was identified to have a handle on TikTok called ‘amushroomblackly’ but her accusations didn’t stop there. She continued to bash the Hollywood actress further, calling her behavior nothing less than a colonizer.

“She is disrespecting and dismissing all of of the boundaries that black creators were seen setting from day one”- she continued.

But Drew Barrymore’s fans and followers disagree. They claim there is nothing wrong with enjoying the rain while donning a huge smile.

Barrymore captioned the video with, ‘whenever you can go out into the rain! Do not miss the opportunity!’- and so many others felt there was nothing wrong in that.
