A 92-year-old man has been accused of abuse and child offenses by a young store worker who invited him over for dinner.
Sources from local media outlets went on to mention how the widower lived alone after his wife’s death. Therefore, he was a regular customer at Sainsbury.
He always greeted everyone well and therefore it didn’t take long for him to be a favorite among the employees, including this young 22-year-old woman.
Therefore in the year 2017, the worker felt bad that he would be spending his Christmas time alone. Hence, she opted to be gracious and nice toward him and offered to be his Christmas dinner date as she didn’t want him to be all by himself.
She called him cute and a great crowd-pleaser, thanks to his behavior. But little did she realize what he was capable of. The officials have further gone on to mention how the man was lonely and had no family and friends left. But he took advantage of the young woman who offered to be so inviting to him.
The duo ended up sharing a meal at a store restaurant in Leeds. It was also revealed in the court how the man showed up very sharply dressed, wearing a blue tone crisp suit. He even bore flowers and presented them to her which felt was a nice gesture.
Now, the retired man who worked as a painter and decorator is now the United Kingdom’s oldest wanted man who would be facing extradition as he had abused a 13-year-old girl in the past.
The suspect is identified as Edwin Holmes who has no family in the UK but two children that live in Australia and don’t visit him much.
He carried out the horrifying abuse on the young girl between 2008 and 2014, as confirmed by local media outlets. And the news has left many people in Sainsbury stunned beyond belief.
