Meet the mother from West Yorkshire who sees no problem in breastfeeding her 5 and 6-year-old boys.
Sheryl Wynne who hails from Wakefield in West Yorkshire claims she’s a proud mother whose boys can’t get enough of her breastmilk. Adding how it’s completely normal to feed children this age, the mother proudly claims that the kids couldn’t imagine leaving her milk, anytime soon.
“It’s completely normal for them to have my milk before and after they go to school. It’s like a cementing bond that I use for my children that brings them closer to me and one another,” the mom explained.
While Sheryl agrees that it’s a rather strange ordeal for many others, she certainly does not mind people’s stares or comments regarding her matter.
The mother who also works as a nurse says she will only give up feeding her children her breastmilk when they claim they are ready to let go. But as of now, that doesn’t seem to be happening, anytime soon.
In the same way, Sheryl says that her milk is the ultimate parenting tool that assists her kids to calm down and remain comforted when they’re sick or upset. And for her, it works like magic.
“It is not uncommon for me to receive so many comments from strangers who fail to understand where I am coming from. My own family members question me at times and that’s okay,” the mother of two added.
Sheryl did admit that her plans weren’t to extend breastfeeding for so many years initially. “I thought they would let go by the age of three but that did not happen and I’m okay with that,” she explained.
Concluding how it’s biologically very normal for people to be curious, this mother of two hopes people will start normalizing breastfeeding instead of taking it so negatively most of the time.
