A 37-year-old resident of Birmingham, Saiqa Parveen, lost her life on the ventilator just after giving birth to her newborn baby girl.
The mother of 5 had refused to take the Covid vaccine during her pregnancy. She was admitted to the hospital on September 24 after being tested positive for Covid-19 on September 14. Her husband was being called to the hospital on September 25 to sign the documents. The doctors have suggested performing a caesarean section to take the baby out if Saiqa’s condition worsened.
The heartbroken family is requesting everyone on social media to go for Covid vaccination as they are suffering because of not taking it earlier.
Saiqa has left behind her five daughters including, 12-year-old Noor, 11-year-old Imaan, 8-year-old Hibbah, 6-year-old Ayesha, and a newborn baby girl Dua. Her husband, Majid Ghafur, is devastated after her death.
The deceased woman never got a chance to see her newborn baby girl.
The last reaction that the doctors received from her was a lone tear that escaped her eye when her husband told her that the girls were missing her and the eldest one was asking about her birthday gift. She was sedated at that moment and was suffering from life-threatening sepsis, pneumonia, and other infections.
According to the death certificate, the dead woman had respiratory failure and Covid-19 pneumonitis as the major cause of her death.
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation has advised all pregnant women to take Covid jabs as studies have proved it safe. According to England’s chief midwifery officer Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent, the vaccination against Covid can keep a person and his loved ones away from the hospital.
