A mum is going viral after receiving intense criticism and being accused of child cruelty for breastfeeding her kids at the same time.
32-year-old Sophie Mei Lan shared the bucketload of insanely negative and cruel comments that came from so many individuals while she opted to breastfeed her kids at the exact same moment.
From being told to put her breasts away to referring to the feeding of her four and seven-year-old children as child cruelty, the mother shared it all. But if you think that would stop the mum from going about her business, then you’re clearly mistaken. Yes, Sophie lashed back at her haters too.
The mum failed to bow down to the intense air of pressure that surrounded her. Instead, she opted to voice her mind about all of her experiences relating to breastfeeding, so as to term it as a normalized procedure.
In addition, the mom who is also a vlogger from Wakefield in West Yorkshire explained how she always tried her level best to normalize the concept of breastfeeding. For this reason, she would feel no guilt or shame for feeding her kids in public, despite the fact that they’re four and seven years old. She didn’t shy away from mentioning how people would give her the meanest and most intense stares too. Yet, she chose to ignore them.
Sophie says that she kept on breastfeeding her kids because she felt it was the right thing to do. Hence, she continued until she thought it was time to stop. And that was when she split from their dad recently.
“To be honest, I had no idea about how to actually stop feeding them so I just went with the flow and continued,” the mum explained.
After feeding her children for a span of nearly 12 years, the mum had to stop as they spend time with their dad and she feels they wouldn’t have access to her during that time. The mum says that she encourages other moms to follow in her footsteps and do it until they feel is the right time to stop.
