A mother who pleaded guilty to conducting infanticide, right after she killed her baby twin daughter while leaving the other with significant disabilities, will continue to work with children as announced by officials recently.
According to local media outlets, the Attorney General confirmed the news, explaining how Tina Terlato’s working with kids permit will not be taken away. The mum who caused so much trauma to her own children works with other kids to create banners at the famous Essendon Football Club.
But even after carrying out the most tragic forms of assault on her own offspring in the year 2012, officials claim they cannot do anything about her working with children.
Tina Terlato killed her 8-week old baby named Amanda in 2012 while leaving her other daughter named Alicia with severe forms of brain damage. Today, little Alicia still suffers from the horrifying aftereffects of her mum’s actions and has been left disabled for life, confirmed reports.
In the month of May, it was revealed how the mum who is an avid fan of the Essendon Football Club, received a working banner to create AFL banners, alongside a number of children.point 261 |
But the news spread panic and fury amongst a number of other family members who called upon the state’s officials to rethink the decision of releasing her working permit.point 148 | 1
But according to Attorney General Jaclyn Symes, nothing could possibly be done to reverse the shocking decision. Moreover, she explained how the only way that the mum could potentially be banned from working with kids is if she committed another similarly horrendous crime.
“As an Attorney General, there is nothing I can do nor am I able to intervene in this matter comprising of individual assessments. I simply can’t seek to make an appeal, in respect to the decision that I have made,” she added via a letter to the devastated family.
