Getti Kehayova, a 43-year-old hula hoop world champion from Las Vegas, Nevada, was hanging upside down from a monkey bar and hula hooping when her shirt slipped down.
Kehayova, who holds the Guinness World Records for the largest hula hoop spun, was practicing at a local park when an outraged mother came over and started lashing out at her about her ‘obscene’ outfit.
An unidentified person has captured the incident on camera, and Kehayova later uploaded the video TikTok where it has gone viral.
Kehayova was wearing a white tank top and running shorts at the park, and the reason her sports bra showed was that she was hanging upside down.
The furious mother, who was seen pushing her child in a stroller, angrily pointed to her top that was sliding down while she was on the monkey bars.
“Everybody around here is seeing this!” the mother shouted. “You’re half-naked right there!”
“This is a place where kids play,” she said.
Kehayova then warned the mother to stand back while she was hula hooping.
“Watch yourself,” Kehayova told the mother. “I’m trying to film.”
Despite the warning, the mother did not get out of her personal space.
“This is a place for family,” the mother ranted. “You can’t be half-naked up there.”
The outraged mother then turned to Kehayova’s husband and asked him: “Are you okay with this?”
The hula hoop champ tried ignoring the furious stranger, but when she caught Kehayova’s son filming her, she started lashing out about everybody being on ‘the TikTok.’
“This is where kids play, this is a place for families,” the mother angrily said. “That is so obscene!”
“I can’t believe you’re doing this in our neighborhood park with almost no clothing,” she continued. “That is totally revealing.”
Kehayova’s husband stepped between the stranger and his wife while trying to de-escalate the situation.
That’s when the angry mother claimed Kehayova and her husband were going to ‘wake up’ her baby — even though she was the one who was yelling.
The mother then grabbed Kehayova’s hula hoop and tossed it on the ground, forcing her to get off of the monkey bars.
The man who was recording the scene tried to intervene, and that’s when the angry woman started yelling at him, saying it was none of his business.
She also screamed at Kehayova’s son to get away from her baby, even though the kid wasn’t doing anything.
When Kehayova and her husband told her to back off, she screamed: “You people are off the charts.”
Kehayova once again tried to explain that she was just practicing, but the stranger suddenly grabbed the hula hoop from her.
“Let me show you what you can do for a TikTok,” the woman said before throwing it into a lamppost. “Find somewhere else to bare your belly.”
That’s when Kehayova and her husband gave up on reasoning with the woman and decided to leave with their son.
At the time of this writing, Kehayova’s video has been viewed 2.4 million times and has received more than 14,000 comments.
