A 34-year-old mother jumped 200ft to her death with her one-month-old baby and 3-year-old son in her arms, taking the lives of both children.
Olga Zharkova and her two sons died after they fell from a 19th-floor apartment in Moscow.
The mother, who was suspected to have suffered from postnatal depression, left a note saying she did not want to leave her kids in this ‘hard, gloomy world.’
A law enforcement source told Komsomolskaya Pravda: “She complained to her acquaintances that she had postnatal depression.
“She felt lonely and tired.”
Zharkova’s husband Dmitry, a Russian military officer, received treatment for shock when he arrived.
According to reports, Olga previously complained about her husband being away from home because of his military duties.
A murder probe into the deaths of the children has been opened by the Russian Investigative Committee.
