Shocking figures from Martha’s Vineyard have recently gone on to reveal how at least 74 people have tested positive for the deadly COVID-19 since Obama’s maskless birthday bash took place.
The former US President was in the limelight after being criticized by plenty for failing to scale down his 60th birthday bash which took place on the same island. While inside sources did reveal how Obama would try to limit his event to close family and friends, that was far from the truth.
A long list of A-list celebs made their way for the occasion. In the same way, plenty of images from the happening event also became the center of attention online as guests could be seen partying the night away maskless!
Now, the sudden spike in cases from the island is being investigated, which is termed to be way more than any other week since last April, confirmed authorities.
Meanwhile, health experts claim that investigations are still taking place and it’s just too soon to link the party to the rising number of figures.
“We are just not sure at this time if the hundreds of guests who were invited to the grand maskless party are a part of the rapid surge in cases,” a spokesperson for the Tisbury health agent explained.
“It’s just too early and the only real way that we will get to know is if we carry out a comprehensive contact tracing check,” they went on to add.
As of yet, experts say that hundreds of people flew down to Martha’s Vineyard from all around the country to grace their presence at Obama’s grand occasion.
And that’s where celebrities danced, ate, and drank till their heart’s content. Obama could also be seen on stage with his family and friends, partying like a true rockstar.
But that also made him appear awfully negative in the eyes of so many Americans, especially when the country is facing a surge in the highly contagious Delta variant.
