Missouri Governor PARDONS Couple Who Threatened BLM Protesters With Weapons


The Governor of Missouri shocked so many people recently after he reportedly pardoned a couple from St Louis for threatening BLM protesters by waving guns.

The couple who was famously captured wielding the weapons towards the BLM demonstrators is now free to go, despite boldly threatening the protestors as they gathered near their home last year.

Moreover, the shocking incident sparked outrage with many questioning the couple’s motive and willingness to do so. Hence, plenty of critics hoped for a punishment that would prevent such incidents from taking place in the future. However, to many people’s dismay, that was the last thing they received.

Instead, the governor of Missouri openly excused their violent behavior in what is being termed as a shocking decision that so many did not see coming.

The pardons scheduled for Mr. and Mrs. McCloskey who are both famous attorneys from St. Louis took place on the 30th of July. As a whole, the governor who is a Republican granted a total of 12 pardons, with the attorneys being the most talked about pardon yet.

The attorney pair pleaded guilty to misdemeanors in relation to the event which took place in June 2020. In the same way, the couple was also ordered to pay fines. Mr. McCloskey was event awarded a fourth-degree charge relating to assault as he reportedly threatened plenty of passersby using his mega AR-15 rifle.

For that particular incident, the court ordered him to pay a fine worth $750. But what really shocked so many is the bold behavior he displayed for his actions, despite being guilty. In addition, he even vowed to do it again, in case the need arose.

His wife also pleaded guilty to the crime of harassment which she was ordered to pay $2000 as a fine. But the couple did not lose their licenses relating to the possession of firearms after the incident, confirmed local media outlets. The protest initially began after the killing of George Floyd last year.
