With the controversy and speculations surrounding US champion gymnast Simone Biles increasing as we speak, Michelle Obama opted to step in and play her role by offering some much-needed love and support.
The former first lady made sure Simone Biles knew that she was doing great and how important it was to put yourself first and take a break, no matter how important of an opportunity it may be. Michelle didn’t think twice as she joined a long list of supporting the choir, right after the gymnast shocked so many as she withdrew from the ground-breaking final that was supposed to lead team USA to gold.
While some felt the gymnast sustained injuries while attempting her poor vaults and landing, it was soon revealed how she opted to pull out due to her mental health. For this reason, Mrs. Obama knew exactly what to say during this rather distressful moment in time for the star athlete.
And that’s when she decided to share her daily mantra via Twitter for the sports star on Tuesday. “Am I good enough?”- she questioned. “Yes, that’s the mantra that I tend to practice on a daily basis,” she explained.
But that wasn’t all. Michelle Obama felt the need to express her pride in the 24-year-old gymnast by adding how much she and the rest of the country supported her, while also congratulating fellow Americans on gaining a silver medal against Russia.
Right after she withdrew from the competition, Simone Biles announced to the local media how she was going to take it one step at a time.
“Whenever you tend to find yourself in a very highly stressful situation, you tend to panic.
For this reason, I need to focus on my mental health, while not placing my mental health or well-being at risk,” Biles explained.Recommended Video For You!
